What’s going on SaltNation! Jeff here, with another salty article for your wet thumbs. Today, I want to take a look at the best saltwater fish for a nano reef tank. A few weeks ago I put together a video that takes a look at the Top 10 Nano Reef Tank Fish and it was a hit with the YouTube crowd.
When I put this list together I wanted a mix of easy to keep fish that just about anyone could find success with. When it comes to stocking nano tank with fish it’s best to keep “less is more” think about what kind of fish you want to see up close and personal. When it comes to my nano reef tanks I prefer to keep fish with a lot of personality.

The one thing I would keep in mind is that even though a nano reef tank can be more cost efficient I don’t recommend them for folks staring off in the hobby. Do mostly to the nano tank’s volume, less water means bad things can happen faster.
